Fried chicken wing with soy sauce

Korean fried chicken or seasoned chicken (Korean: 양념 치킨 yangnyeom chicken) is a fried chicken dish prepared in a Korean style.
 The chickens are usually seasoned with spices, sugar, and salt, prior to and after being fried. Korean fried chicken restaurants commonly use small or medium sized chicken, in other words, younger chickens resulting in more tender meat. Pickled radishes, beer, and soju are often served with Korean fried chicken.
Today I’m going to make a fried chicken with soy sauce.
Because today is my daughter’s birthday.  She loves fried chicken by my recipe.

















   Ingredients

  • 18~20 pieces  chicken wings washed and drained
  • 2 cups milk.
  • ¼ cup rice wine
  • ½ teaspoon salt & pepper
  • 1 cup  corn starch
  • 5 cayenne peppers (or jalapeno), cut half size.
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 table spoon honey
  • ½ lemon
  • ½ onion
  • 1/4 tablespoon brown sugar
  • vegetable oil 
    
  Direction

  1. By soaking the chicken wings in milk for 30 minutes, you can get rid of the smell of the chicken and make it softer.
  2. Drain chicken in a colander. Combine salt and black pepper by hand.
  3.  Put 1 cup of corn starch in a plastic bag and put chicken in the plastic bag and shake to evenly coat it.
  4. And set aside.

   Make the sweet soy sauce:

     1.    Put 1 cup of soy sauce, ¼ cup of rice wine, ¼  cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of  water, 
          1 table spoon sugar (or corn syrup), ½ onion, 5 cayenne peppers in small pot.
     
     2.    Boiling soy sauce for 2 minutes, after add ½ sliced lemon.
            Keep boiling for about 2 minutes over medium heat.
      
      3.    Remove from heat And set aside.

Fry the chicken and coat the fried chicken wings with sauce
1.    Put 1 cup of cooking oil in a frying pan or pot and heat it up for 2 minutes over high heat.
2.    Slide the coated wings one by one into the hot oil.
3.    Fry the chicken in frying pan or pot, about 10 to 12 pieces at a time.
When you add the chicken to the hot oil, the temperature will drop drastically.
4.    Fry the chicken until golden brown and the meat is cooked all the way through, about 4 to 5 minutes.
5.    Take the fried wing out of hot oil and let the wing sit for few minutes.
6.    Put 1 cup of the sweet soy sauce in the large pot and reheat until it bubbles.
7.    Add the fried wing and mix well to coat.
8.     Remove from heat and transfer to a large plate.

                                                          Fry the chicken wing.














                                         Coat the fried chicken wings with sauce.
